Compulsory Earthquake Insurance

With this compulsory *policy type, which we know mostly as TCIP (Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool), material damages like fire, explosion, tsunami and landslides caused by the earthquake are covered within the limits specified in the policy. The property subject to the policy is covered even if it has been completely or partially damaged.

The maximum amount of coverage provided by TCIP is determined each year according to the construction costs (for example, it is TRY 240,000 for 2020).

*According to the Disaster Insurance Law, those who do not have TCIP insurance will not be able to benefit from the housing loan provided by the state and the assistance provided in case of damage to the building in the event of an earthquake.
